About me
I am a RN with a master of Science in Global Health with a broad interest in international migration and international public health. I am intrigued by exploring how evidence-based methods can be feasibly applied and continuously improved to enhance healthcare systems and outcomes.
Research
My research interests span migration and health to implementation science, with a focus on translating research into practice. I am particularly interested in bridging barriers to healthcare access for underserved groups and ensuring that evidence-based interventions benefit both staff and patients.
My PhD project evaluates the implementation of interventions aimed at improving the assessment and management of mental health among newly arrived migrants in primary care. It examines how contextual factors influence whether interventions are implemented as planned. The project includes two components: (i) a screening procedure for early detection of mental health issues among asylum seekers and newly arrived migrants, and (ii) a community-based intervention to increase mental healthcare seeking among newly arrived children and adolescents (0–17 years), as part of the project Tidiga Insatser för Nyanlända Barn (TINA) / Breaking Barriers for Care, in collaboration with /en/research/research-areas-centres-and-networks/research-groups/epidemiology-of-psychiatric-conditions-substance-use-and-social-environment-epicss-christina-dalmans-research-group/psychiatric-morbidity-and-mortality-substance-abuse-among-migrants-and
