About me
I am a consultant anaesthetist and residency program director at the Department of Perioperative Medicine
and Intensive Care (PMI) at Karolinska University Hospital and an instructor
at the Center for Advanced Medical Simulation and Training (CAMST). My
research focus is on stress, multidisciplinary team training, safety climate and patient safety.
Research
Our interdisciplinary research group, with the overall project name SUPREM
(Sustainable PRofessional life during a pandEMic), has an ongoing
research project focusing on "Avoiding burnout in a health care crisis. Stress, teamwork and safety climate in intensive care settings - lessons to be learned".We aim to analyse the impact of workload and stress factor perception on
interdisciplinary teamwork, burn out factors, safety climate and
communication among staff in an ICU environment during and after the
times of high workload. Thereby, hoping to contribute to a better preparedness for how
similar situations can be handled in the future regarding work conditions.
