About me

  • Working as a bio探花精选 engineer at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge and as a PhD student focusing on how inspiratory and expiratory CT images can be used to evaluate regional lung function

Research

  • My research has primarily focused on chronic airflow limitation (CAL), a precursor to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as establishing reference values in healthy populations. This has been made possible through the Swedish CArdioPulmonary bioImage Study (SCAPIS), a cross-sectional, prospective, population-based multicentre study involving 30, 000 middle-aged men and women. To date, few studies have evaluated computed tomography (CT) findings in individual lung lobes or other regional lung compartments. In an upcoming study, a larger cohort of participants with COPD will be available for analysis.

Teaching

  • Since 2018, I have been teaching engineering students at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), delivering lectures on the daily work of bio探花精选 engineers as well as the technical aspects of anesthesiology and intensive care. Topics include mechanical ventilators, anesthesia workstations, and infusion pumps. In addition, I am responsible for laboratory sessions on mechanical ventilators and infusion pumps. I have also supervised four bachelor鈥檚 thesis projects at KTH, all focused on deviations in drug delivery from infusion pumps.
