Emmanouil "Manolis" Koltsakis is a radiologist who obtained his ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ degree from the University of Crete in 2017. He spent two years working in primary health care in rural areas of Greece, as well as in the Emergency and General Surgery Department at the Military Hospital of Crete.

He then began his Radiology Residency at the University Hospital of Crete under the supervision of Professor Apostolos Karantanas, where he also initiated his research career.

In 2021, he relocated to Sweden to continue his residency in Radiology at Karolinska University Hospital. In 2025, he received his specialist qualification after successfully passing the European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR).

During this time, he actively conducted research in the fields of abdominal imaging, artificial intelligence, and hybrid imaging, while also serving as a member of the Young Club Committee of the European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics (EUSOMIl).

In 2024, he completed two fellowships in Neuroradiology and Neurointervention, provided by the European School of Radiology

Manolis is particularly interested in Artificial Intelligence, Hybrid Imaging and Oncologic Imaging.

Manolis has been active in teaching since he obtained his ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ degree. Throughout his career he has hold lectures to healthcare professionals, nurses, residents, ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ students both in Sweden and Greece but also for the European School of Radiology.
