I am a German ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ doctor affiliated with the Aging Research Center (ARC) at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡. Since June 2024, i am working with Assistant Professor Ingrid Ekström (PhD) on studies from the NEAR network, exploring the link between olfactory dysfunction and depression. Initially, i came into contact with Dr. Ekström via the RISE scholarship, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). My affiliation with KI will last until August 2025.

Next to my research at KI, i am also employed as a resident doctor at the Department of Psychiatry, Social Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the Hannover Medical School (MHH). Furthermore, i am pursuing a doctoral degree in medicine at my alma mater, the University of Cologne, Department of Psychiatry, for which i am meta-analytically investigating the association between thyroid disorders and depression.
