I’m a pediatrician and senior consultant neonatologist at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm. I graduated from ̽����ѡ school in 2002 (̽����ѡ), finished Pediatric training in 2013 and Neonatology training in 2017. I defended my thesis “Consequences of preterm birth on lung function, physical activity and exercise capacity” in May 2017 at ̽����ѡ. I was appointed as clinical research fellow at the University of Western Australia in Perth, Australia 2013-2015. My PostDoc project was in Ola Andersson’s group at the department of clinical Sciences at Lund University. The PostDoc project included research about effects of cord clamping time on bilirubin levels and the development of neonatal jaundice. 

I am the president of the Swedish Neonatal Society since 2022.

I’m a research group leader (PI) of the MoM/Cords group at the division of Pediatrics at the department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology (CLINTEC) at ̽����ѡ.

MoM (mothers on medications) / Cords Research Group | ̽����ѡ

Clinical research in the field of Pediatrics and Neonatology. The two main areas of interest comprise research on neonates exposed to maternal pharmacological treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and effects of delayed cord clamping and early skin-to-skin care of term and preterm infants. I also conduct studies about long-term follow-up of preterm infants with particular focus on physical activity.

MoM (mothers on medications) / Cords Research Group | ̽����ѡ

I have a long experience of teaching of ̽����ѡ students as lecturer, as clinical supervisor and as a supervisor of master theses. In addition, I have a long experience as clinical teacher of younger colleagues in Neonatology. Between 2022 and 2024 I was appointed as director of studies for pediatric residency at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge.
