About me

  • I have a background in public health epidemiology and research experience in the field of survey- and register-based research, cardiovascular and psychiatric epidemiology, and insurance medicine. My research interest involves investigating the interrelations between somatic and mental health, as well as sustainable working life, using a combination of register and survey data. My current projects in the MENTE research group involve the investigation of risk factors related to labor market marginalization among individuals on sick leave due to common mental disorders, and investigating work and other risk factors for hazardous alcohol use. 

Research

  • My research interests covers:

    • the understanding of the interactions between health- and work-related factors in relation to sustainable working life
    • gaining knowledge on which factors can contribute to a sustainable working life among individuals with chronic health problems
    • exploring the possibilites of using register and survey data to answer questions that can help to improve health and work-related outcomes in these populations. 

Teaching

  • I am a regular lecturer at the Public Health Epidemiology Master Program
