Dr. Mahin Ghorbani is a biotechnologist and bioinformatician specializing in metagenomics, metatranscriptomics and transcriptome studies. Her research spans various diseases including Schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, rheumatoid arthritis, COVID-19, HIV, and Cancer. She investigates the microbiome in diverse regions such as the gut, oral cavity, brain, tumors, and its implications in diseases. Dr. Ghorbani also mentors and supervises students and is actively involved in ongoing research projects linking the microbiome with disease conditions.
