Sofia Larsson

About me

I am a licentiate student within Professor Ellenor Mittendorfer-Rutz's Mental Health and Social Integration (MENTE) research group at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Division of Insurance Medicine.
My research project consists of two interconnected studies that examine how social, financial, and school-related hardships during early resettlement in Sweden affect the health-related quality of life and future healthcare needs of adolescents with refugee backgrounds. It also explores the role of resilience resources in buffering these effects. The studies use survey data from 2, 559 refugee adolescents as well as national health registers.
The project aims to identify both risk and protective factors to inform health-promoting interventions for refugee youth.
