I am currently completing my residency (specialist training) in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Karolinska University Hospital while simultaneously pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology and Health Economics at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ under the supervision of Professor Jonas F Ludvigsson.

I completed my ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ internship at Örebro University Hospital and received my ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ licence in 2022. I also hold a Licentiate degree in Medicine from Ã–rebro University, an M.D. from ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ and a B.Sc. in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics.

The aim of my current research is to explore ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ and economic outcomes in patients with various gastrointestinal diseases, including celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis and microscopic colitis. This is done through large-scale epidemiological studies by combining real-world data (RWD) from nationwide Swedish health registries with histopathology data from the ESPRESSO study. The research is carried out as part of a doctoral degree supervised by Professor Jonas F Ludvigsson, in collaboration with researchers from ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, University of Gothenburg, Colombia University and Harvard University.

Prior to my ongoing research, I have also pursued epidemiological research within cardiovascular disease, thrombotic disease and colorectal cancer in parallel to my ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ studies - all at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡.
