Om mig
Margareta Wilhelm är docent i tumörbiologi och forskargruppsledare vid Institutionen för mikrobiologi, tumör- och cellbiologi (MTC). För närvarande är hon avdelningschef för Division Tumörbiologi och Vice Prefekt vid MTC. Hon tog sin magisterexamen i molekylärbiologi vid UmeÃ¥ universitet och disputerade i experimentell onkologi 2003 vid ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, följt av postdoktoral utbildning vid Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute i Toronto, Kanada. Dr. Wilhelm har tilldelats en forskarassistenttjänst frÃ¥n VetenskapsrÃ¥det, ett Young Investigator Award frÃ¥n Cancerfonden, en fakultetsfinansierad seniorforskartjänst vid Karolinska Institute. För närvarande innehar hon en Högre forskartjänst inom barncancerforskning frÃ¥n Barncancerfonden.
Forskningsbeskrivning
Forskargruppen fokuserar på att förstå mekanismer som reglerar tumörinitiering och -progression med ett särskilt intresse för tumörmikromiljön och infiltrerande immunceller. Vi använder transgena modeller, cellulär reprogrammering, stamceller, och organoider för att modellera tumörutveckling.
