My research focuses on how nursing documentation can be made easier with the use of standardized language (nursing terminologies) and international standards that can be used to create a documentation system. Together, terminologies and standards can support nurses’ documentation of a patient’s nursing needs and even makes it easier to reuse information for e.g. research and quality improvement.

I have always been interested in both psychology and trains. My research project combines these two major interests and aligns with my strong desire to contribute to a better society. The project investigates how physical and technological interventions in the transport system can prevent suicides.

I study how people who work in places like hospitals learn how to do their jobs differently when things change, so they can take better care of people. I try to understand what support and training they get to help them solve new problems.

My PhD research project is within primary care and is about patient-centered communication and self-management support for patients with multimorbidity.
